Hi there!

My name is Wendy. In 2020, I joined the publishing industry during the last year of my Publishing Masters at the height of the global pandemic. I freelanced for a start-up book marketing agency where I reconnected with my love for graphic design and found a new family of freelancers.

Fast forward three years of grappling with the freelance lifestyle, teaching myself the ins and outs of my craft through the hell fire of agency-paced client work, and months of imposter syndrome and self-doubt later, I decided to follow my heart and White Stone Pages was born.

I am now proudly a designer for the publishing industry, and I bring with me all my knowledge and experience of the creative and technical sides of book marketing, of freelancing and running a small business, and, most importantly, the lifestyle of a continuous learner. If you haven’t guessed by now, I love books (reading and designing them!), graphic design, data, and personal development. If any of this speaks to you too, you’ll find a home for it all in my new blog.

As a lover of bullet-point lists, here’s a taster of what you can expect if you’re an author, agency, publisher, small business owner, side-hustler, fellow designer — or anyone with an interest in career development:

  • Book design tips and trends

  • Design tips for your freelance profile or small business

  • How to optimise your email marketing

  • Reviews of different productivity platforms and self-development books

  • Tips on freelancing, running a small business, and teaching yourself anything

To not miss my blog posts, make sure to give my blog a follow or add me to your RSS feed. I would also love to hear from and get you know you too so please do leave comments or reach out to me on Instagram (@whitestonepages).

I look forward to sharing a slice of my world with you!

In working progress,

Wendy
